Friday night dance lessons at the Maverick are so much fun! I went with a couple of girlfriends a two months ago & was hooked from the first class. Now I can't do without my Friday "dance fix". I started taking private lessons & am loving every minute. Laurence, you are a terrific instructor â?? you're very knowledgeable & teach with patience & humor. (And thank goodness, because I need both!!!) Iâ??m FINALLY learning to dance and Iâ??m having a ball! Thank you Laurence!!

By nature I tend to be a proscrastinator, but the day I signed up for private lessons with Laurence was the day my life changed--it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Even though there are lots of hurdles to clear depending where you are in your dance history, or even if you're just a beginner, Laurence guides you step-by-step with kindness, good naturedness, professionalism, and, above all, patience. The lighting, beautiful paintings by his mom, and high-quality sound in his studio all contribute to a homey atmosphere which makes for an enjoyable lesson and something to look forward to each week. (I don't want to forget Laurence's faithful canine friend Buddha who is at every lesson curled up on his pillow wagging his tail to the beat!) I have this saying that a friend sent me several years ago--"Dance isn't something that can be explained in words. It has to be danced." No truer words spoken. :) Don't think twice about signing up for one of Laurence's classes--you'll be so glad you did!!

I was in your Friday night class at the Maverick the past 2 Fridays with my girlfriends. Am really enjoying the classes and the dancing afterwards. You're an excellent - and fun - instructor!
