ABOUT LAURENCE BONFOEY
My name is Laurence Bonfoey and I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. My love of dance began in 1974 when a friend invited me to a Country Western night club. Dancing grabbed my heart and never let go.

BACKGROUND
In 1975 I began working full time at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Tucson, achieving both my Bronze and Silver levels of Ballroom Dance. Soon after, I traveled across the United States as a dance Instructor. I moved back to Tucson, taught dance at Pima Community College for 18 years, then opened The Bonfoey Studio of Fine Art and Dance in 1992. I had a staff of eight instructors who taught over 30 classes a week.
LOVE OF WESTERN DANCING
My special niche of dancing became Country Western.
Private dance lessons have been always available 7 days a week.
My passion and desire to dance and loving great Country Western music has inspired me to teach for over 45 Years.
DANCING WITH MY HORSE
When I am not teaching, you will find me dancing with my Paso Fino mare, aptly named Dancer. I got her as a young filly at 11/2 years old, and trained her using natural horsemanship methods. Like dancing with humans, the two of us communicated with very light cues, reading each other's body language and moving in harmony. Dancing has brought so much joy to my life!
