Professional Background
A Legacy of Dance in Tucson
My journey began in 1975 at the Fred Astaire School of Dance, where I spent years mastering the intricate footwork, spins, and turns that first inspired me to step onto the floor.
Today, I bring that lifetime of experience to Bonfoey Dance Studio,
specializing in the styles and dances my students enjoy most.
Whether you are looking to master the Progressive Two Step,
the Rhythm Two Step, or dive into the high-energy of Jitterbug
or West Coast Swing, I am here to help you find the dance you enjoy best.

Instructional Excellence
Professionally trained in 11 dances: Two Step, West Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, ChaCha, Rumba,
Salsa, Samba, Merengue, and I served as a dance instructor
at Pima Community College for 18 years
also led weekend classes at the Maverick on Friday and Saturday
nights from 2010 through 2020.
My experience spans from Tucson City Parks and Recreation to private weddings, resorts, and local clubs.

My Teaching Philosophy
I specialize in teaching the essentials: footwork, timing, and rhythm.
I focus on the mechanics of how to lead and follow effortlessly.
Dancing will become second nature. I bring a patient, positive, and upbeat attitude to every lesson. The learning process is as much fun as the music itself.
